The Northwest Ordinance of 1787
The Northwest Ordinance of 1787 was when the Northwest Territory was created. It was the land North of the Ohio River and East of the Mississippi River. It gave the settlers more room to live, farm and create. They were given the power to move, and expand. It had many benefits, but it was not perfect. It also created some conflict. Overall, that is the Northwest Ordinance of 1787.
